This is Art | RGB by Carnovsky

“RGB is a work about the exploration of the ‘surface’s deepness’ “

We’ve seen a lot in Modern Art lately. I must admit that I’m not quite a big fan of that! Last week I was at Centre Pompidou in Paris and there were some pieces that I was like “Really people? Really? Is this why you’re visiting a museum?”.

You can say I don’t understand art at all, but please people – this isn’t art! A shelf with personal stuff on it? Seriously? If this is art, Tumblr is the king of Modern Art!

But on the other hand I found a great example of modern art that will astonish you.

It’s amazing how the artists play with colors, light and your brain!

They overlap three different images, each one in a primary color, which result in a confusing and disorienting image and color mix. Then they light up a colored filter and you can clearly see the image according to the color of the layer. (It’s easier to see than to explain!)

“RGB designs create surfaces that mutate and interact with different chromatic stimulus.”

These are 4 photos of the same image. (click to enlarge – it would be much better)

And more…
