New York Trip!

26 Jan

If you follow this blog for some time, you might remember that back in June (my birthday) I offered myself a promising trip to New York. Back then, I promised that I would post photos about it and would show you how cool NYC is!

The thing is… I was borrowed a fancy-pretty cool-expensive camera from a guy who lived there. While in NYC, I used and abused the camera and the amazing quality of the pics! You can imagine how many photos I took and, judging by the camera, you might have an idea on how heavy the file with the pics was… So, I didn’t bring the photos with me, unfortunately. Therefore I had to wait till now, to get them back! (True story, bad logistics and way too many Gb’s…)

Finally I’m able to talk a bit about New York City (supported by images) and to show you some photos of the city, the people and the fashion trends.

Once Upon a time in NYC

After a long flight, some boring movies and a stupid annoying cop at the airport, I started my adventure in the city that never sleeps. Of course I had to begin by riding trains and a thousand subways, asking directions and walking through crowded streets to finally get home! But I didn’t even care! I was thrilled about stepping on that city’s floor at last… Since childhood I always wanted to visit America.

I stayed at a friend’s house in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. My first meal was an enormous slice of pizza and a giant coke, and then I headed to a characteristic bar named Rudy’s – pretty cool for a first AMERICAN impression!

On the next day, I woke up pretty early, went to central Park for a walk and guess who was there! Lady Gaga! Good Morning America (GMA) organized a free Lady Gaga concert that day. I don’t need to say that it was fucking crowded, right?

There were 12 incredible days! I went to some rooftop parties, to Sunday concerts in Brooklyn, to 6 Flags in New Jersey, I went to MET and saw Alexander McQueen exhibition (never thought I would be so close to his fashion pieces of art). I ate a lot of junk food and delighted myself every morning with an exquisite iced coffee from a 24/7 store. And for me, that was the magic of NYC!

I will have several posts about my trip to New York City. I will not bore you with extensive writing; it’s just a way to separate photos about different subjects: the city, the people, and the style!

Hope you enjoy!
